It was a beautiful day with the Paterson Family!

A cold, winter day that was full of warm smiles from all.

It was wonderful to be able to briefly visit with my family during this trip.

Our beautiful couple are now husband and wife 

and enjoy a few moments alone.

It has been quite a day!  

The stress is over and now the real smiles come.

After a few quiet moments its off to the reception!

When I was first asked about photographing Megan's wedding I thought what a great opportunity to spend some time with my sister, brother in law, niece and nephew.  But when my sister agreed to fly not only me to Colorado but my best friend and fellow photographer Carey of Carey Sims Photography how could I say no.  I was also thrilled to meet the family of my brother in law, spend some time with my family, my friend and to be able to work with Carey.  It was a whirl wind trip that was full of fun, laughs, snow, a beautiful bride and two great families.  

These are just a few photos of the rehearsal.  

  

Dave and Adista

Dave and Adista are very good friends of our family.  

They have been engaged for awhile now and we still have not done engagement photos.  If the day ever comes that we get together for an engagement session it should be a fairly easy shoot since these two are easy to pose and smiles come naturally for them.  

As a photographer who has photographed many weddings I know that this is not always an easy task.  But with these two my job was an easy one.

It was a beautiful day for a photo shoot at the Capital building in Carson City!

The colors were beautiful and the weather was sunny, for a while.

And of course my friends were ready to smile!  I don't think they realized just how many photos I would shoot.  But we did get some great photos of their family.

Mr and Mrs Dauber

Mr and Mrs Dauber are a beautiful couple who are very easy to photograph. 

Their smiles are warm and inviting and make you want to spend the whole day photographing them.  I am sure they are thankful that I didn't.  

Thanks for the great smiles and sharing your beautiful family and baby belly with me again.

I was lucky enough to spend some time with a great couple and their beautiful family.  We shot quite a few photos in our time together.  They all seemed to be comfortable in front of the camera, which makes my job a little easier.

On the day I got the honor of photographing this great couple was a beautiful but sad day in Lake Tahoe.  They were moving a few days later to Southern California.  We had fun together that day and we did get some great photos.  Photos of their beautiful family and those boys I miss so much will be posted soon.  I thought I would start with my beautiful friend and her handsome husband.
