The Nevada Day Parade!

Our very own ARCHIE!  The Reno Aces mascot.

What kind of parade would it be without clowns?

Everyone loves clowns, right?

A marching band.

It wouldn't be the Nevada Day Parade without the 

wild mustangs.  

A cause I believe in.

We need to save our wild mustangs!

They are NEVADA!

Nevada, known as the Silver State, was admitted to the Union on October 31, 1864, making it the 36th state.

In 2000 Nevada started celebrating Nevada Day on the last Friday of the month with the parade on Saturday.

This year the weather was perfect!

It was a beautiful fall day in Carson City  for the Nevada Day Parade!

The Great Reno Balloon Race ~ 2011

My family and I, along with our good friends attended 

The Great Reno Balloon Races in Reno on Sunday 

September 11th.

What a wonderful event.  

The Dawn Patrol was an amazing sight.

The T-6 Formation Fly Over was during the National Anthem right before the 

Mass Ascension.

This fly over was even more meaningful since it was the 

10th anniversary of the Terrorist attacks of 9/11.

The Missing Man Formation was also performed 

in honor of the 10th anniversary of 9/11.

As soon as the planes disappeared into the horizon

a flock of Canadian Geese flew by also in the

Missing Man Formation.

What a chill this gave us!
